Don’t ask it. Don’t do it. Don’t ask them that question. 

*you tell yourself quickly in your head*

Don’t ask him if you're his usual type.

Don’t ask her if she’s ever had a one night stand.

Don’t ask what his body count is. And don’t ask hers either.

Don’t ask them if they’ve ever done someone wrong in love.

Don’t ask “what if” with a hypothetical that hasn’t happened or wouldn’t happen. 

Don’t ask about the things that will be too much too soon. Don’t taint your idea of this new person before letting them unravel themselves.

Don’t water your insecurities with these questions and allow them to grow with the answer [or the silence] you receive which, you would find a way to take/ make personal.

Why do we do it to ourselves? Self sabotage, break our own heart…. why?
