oversized flannel:

this is one of my favorite throw ons. thanks dad. i honestly have no idea where this is from or how old it is. i found it in the forgotten about closet downstairs and have adopted it to be mine. the brand is David Taylor though. i usually wear it in itS most practical way but with this look i decided to use it to break up the outfit. thick tank tops dont usually compliment my arms so i needed something to minimize their appearance. for the most part i wore it over my shoulders but when it got chilly i wore with a front knot to keep my waistline visible. if i left the entire thing down i would’ve looked like a box since my jeans have a loose fit lol.

turtle neck tank top:

this ribbed turtle neck tank top is from zara (expanding my fast fashion. i know. big things). it was $20. i recently starting liking myself in turtle necks. this one was a good addition to the closet because it’s not constricting. it has a good stretch to where its comfortable and is thin enough to use for layering. i like it to tuck it in and sometimes tuck it under my bra for a more cropped look.

not what it seams balloon mom jeans- light wash:

got these babies from fashion nova of course and i loovveee them. they were $45. they have more of denim feel than a stretch denim which i think i necessary for this type of pant. they hug the waist nice while staying a bit more loose on the legs (YES THEY ARE comfortable TO SIT IN). i usually wear a size 3 in fashion nova, even WITH their somewhat stretchier bottomS so purchased a size 3 for these and they fit perfect. definitely check your measurements before purchasing just to b safe. the vertical seams are what sold me on these. they create the illusion of having A STYLE SENSE EVEN WHEN YOU’RE TRYING TO KEEP IT SIMPLE LOL.

ACCESSORIES:

MY EARRINGS ARE FROM EXPRESS. I’M ON A BIG GOLD KICK RECENTLY. I PERSONALLY FEEL THAT IT COMPLETES THE LOOK AND KEEPS IT CHIC. THE MIX OF GEOMETRIC SHAPES IN THESE EARRINGS ALONG WITH THE RED LIPSTICK GAVE THE LOOK SOME LIFE WITHOUT GOING OVERBOARD. MY BAG AND SUNGLASSES ARE BOTH FROM TARGET. THE SUNGLASSES ADDED DRAMA TO THE LOOK. HONESTLY, THEY WERE ALSO JUST WHAT WORKED BEST OUT OF ALL OF THE PAIRS that I HAVE. THE BAG ADDED A MORE feminine VIBE TO THE LOOK. IT PULLED TOGETHER THE RED AND GOLD FROM MY FACE AS WELL.

HAIR:

I WORE MY HAIR UP IN A HIGH PONY TO CREATE separation BETWEEN MY FACE AND THE TURTLE NECK. IT GAVE A MORE SLIMMING appearance TO MY FACE. WEARING IT UP ALSO MADE MY EARRINGS MORE visible MAKING THEM MORE CONNECTED TO THE OVERALL LOOK.
