gosh, is this one to sing to. like the car ride by yourself, hot shower in the morning type singing. every time that i play a track from this album i get lost. oddly enough, there isn’t even anyone that i reminisce on to attach me more to his lyrics. Something about the way he writes, it doesn’t feel so focused on just him. he includes detail of the emotions he experienced but manages to keep the big picture of the track more vague, making it relatable to wider set of people. he is honest about his emotions. he is honest with his thoughts. all which makes each track so easy to feel. none of it is staged or unrealistic. and those vocals??? what a combination. he did wonderful.
world we created is hands down, my favorite. this is me in love. this is the type of love that i desire. living in the world between us and not around us and just getting lost in it together. we fulfill each other so equally and when i miss you, i’m missing being in that world (lol that sounds soo dramatic). but yea man, it’s just good.
heartbreak anniversary is another. i enjoy a good heart punching song lol. he’s speaking of his break up in such a dramatic tone. his voice is forceful yet soothing. He says what i believe most of us are thinking after going through a break up/ trying to move on from someone.
