trey songz- 2020 riots: how many more times

juneteenth

celebrates the day June 19th, 1865: two and half years after president Lincoln took action to free enslaved people nationwide with the issuing of the emancipation proclamation. on this day, all people that were held as slaves in texas were set free. Juneteenth is a time to reflect, learn and celebrate the liberation and freedom of the black ancestors of our country.

this song here speaks for itself. it’s time for change. it’s time for justice. it’s time for peace and equality.

currently, juneteenth is recognized as a holiday in some states but not nationwide. it is part of american history, and it is time for it to be treated as that.
